We are looking to add an ambitious, dynamic team player to the Innovation Centre Denmark in Tel Aviv to promote cooperation primarily in life science and health innovation for our partners in Denmark and Israel.
Innovation Centre Denmark Tel Aviv is searching for a skilled Innovation & Commercial Officer to further develop and deepen collaboration between our partners in Denmark and Israel within Life Science and HealthTech. Innovation Centre Denmark Tel Aviv is one of seven Danish innovation centres located in regions chosen for their relevance for Danish businesses, research institutions, ecosystems, and government. As a collaboration between the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of Denmark, we work to strengthen and promote innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and economic growth. We are part of Denmark's economic diplomacy and international efforts, and function as a consultancy with sales and activity targets and work closely with colleagues at the Embassy, in Denmark and around the globe.
Main tasks and responsibilities
The right candidate is expected to:
- Design and manage a portfolio of innovation projects primarily within the domain of Life Science and HealthTech, but also within other strategic focus areas that enable Danish stakeholders to access and partner with leading innovators in Israel
- Transfer knowledge between Israel and Denmark on scaling and internationalisation of start-ups and innovation ecosystem building
- Build strong networks and partnerships between Danish and Israeli partners (start-ups, SMEs, multinationals, VC funds, incubators/accelerators, NGOs, and public sector)
- Draft project proposals to Danish partners and private and public foundations as well as government entities
- Drive sales to reach the yearly sales and activity targets
The exact job description will be tailored to the skills, ambitions, personality, and professional network of the selected candidate.
Skills and qualifications
The right person for the job will have a university degree and will possess a combination (of most) of the following:
- Analytical capacity: Ability to analyse the innovative depth of partner organisations, and the innovative edge of their products/services as well as the needs of Danish customers and partners
- Project management: Experience in project development and management with many stakeholders, as well as event management, e.g. conferences, workshops, or delegation programs
- Experience in B2B sales: Knows how to generate sales and build partnerships with private and public sector customers
- Solid drafting skills: Ability to draft professional proposals, reports, presentations, marketing materials, articles, and web content in English
- Language proficiency: High level of English and Hebrew is required as well as a high level of writing skills in English
- Sector Knowledge: Strong network in Israel within Life Science and Health sectors is a strong advantage
- Proven practical experience: Public speaking, presentations, training, workshop facilitation, and/or start-up mentoring
Terms of employment
- Local contract terms (public sector)
- Fixed monthly salary will reflect your qualifications, level of relevant experience, and proven work related results
- Full time position of 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday work week as in Denmark)
- Business travel to Denmark required (approx. 4 trips a year)
- Working language at the office: English
- Starting date: As soon as possible but subject to approval by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and pending security clearance by Danish authorities
