Framework Conditions and Barriers
Israel and Denmark with its EU partners have worked together to improve their trade relations.
Market access on both sides has grown as a result. The EU and Israel share a long common history that has led to growing cooperation. Values like democracy and freedom of speech are shared by both. Furthermore, both are committed to an open international economic system. Political, commercial and scientific leaders in Israel maintain close links to Europe. Since the establishment of Israel in 1948, political cooperation, cultural interchange, trade and a developed system of agreements have resulted in closer and closer relations.
There is no major difference between Danish and Israeli business life. Almost all Israelis speak English and the Israeli business environment is more or less informal like in Denmark. It is generally very easy for Danish companies to access and build good relations with Israeli companies due to the historic relations between Denmark and Israel.
