The Royal Danish Embassy in Tel Aviv is seeking to recruit an ambitious and dynamic team player to the position as receptionist/administrative officer.
In your daily work you will be part of the Consular and Administrative Team responsible for the consular services of Denmark in Israel and for the effective operations of the Danish Embassy. You are, however, expected to show the flexibility required for an optimal handling of the entire portfolio of the Embassy and thus be ready to contribute to handling tasks outside your own portfolio. The exact job description will be tailored to the skills, ambitions and personality of the selected candidate.
Main tasks and responsibilities as receptionist/administrative officer
- Reception and telephone/switchboard, customer service, receiving guests
- Handling passport and citizenship inquiries and applications
- Distribution of mail and e-mails in the Embassy main inbox
- Managing appointments in the calendar
- Purchasing and following up on office equipment and consumables
- Back up to PA of the Ambassador
- Various other administrative tasks
Required qualifications
- A university degree (minimum at the Bachelor’s level)
- The ability to deal with the public courteously and efficiently
- A positive, open-minded and pro-active attitude
- A high sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Great interpersonal skills and team player abilities as well as interest in and willingness to share knowledge with – and learn from – colleagues
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Flexible and willing to adapt to the changing needs of the Embassy
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under time pressure
- Full command of English – both oral and written
- IT proficiency
Desired qualifications
- Command of Hebrew and one of the Scandinavian languages will be considered an advantage
- Experience with communication and SoMe

Employment conditions
- You will be offered full time employment on a local contract based on the relevant legally binding labour market rules of Israel.
- Your working hours will be 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday work week)
- Your salary will reflect your qualifications, relevant experience and proven work-related results.
- As part of your salary you will be covered by a workplace pension scheme.
